  1. Pork Rinds

If your mouth is watering for a big bag of salty, greasy chips, back away. There is another option and that is pork rinds. While they are not very filling, they also are not high in fat and can help you when you have a craving for eating mindlessly while binging on your favorite Netflix shows.

There are different seasonings to pick from so you don’t have to get bored if you eat them more than once in a week or within a couple of days of each other. Make sure you do not buy the kind that has MSG in them and if you need to, you can do your own seasoning.

  1. Keto Chocolate Chip Cookies

When you started on your diet, you might have thought chocolate, chips and cookies were all off the table but now you can have all three words in a row with keto chocolate chip cookies. Low carb, low sugar, and tasty means that you have found your keto friendly cookie snack. Kids will be glad to have their cookies back in their diet as well as adults so if you are having a hard time getting your kids on board, this will help.

  1. Cheese Crisps

It may be easy to stop by the store and pick up a bag of chips, but instead, you can be keto friendly by making cheese crisps. All you have to do is preheat the oven, slice some cheddar cheese on parchment, broil it and let cool. The bubbling cheese will then harden and give you an awesome chip.

You can find a dip that works with your keto diet to dip the chips in if you want or you can eat them straight off the parchment without anything added.

  1. Canned Sardines

You may be thinking about peeling back the can lid and seeing little fish eyes looking back at you which is not very appetizing, but that usually isn’t the case. These fish treats are pretty tasty and come packed in either oil or water, without their little heads. Their taste is similar to tuna and you can find them in multiple flavors.

These are a good inexpensive snack that is also healthy so, why not give it a try. Make sure you select the packing without the heads if that is your hang up on giving them a try. They are a quick snack for any time but make sure to bring a toothbrush with you if you are eating them out. It could be kind of fishy afterward.

  1. Low Carb Onion Rings

My mouth is already watering at the thought of onion rings. Look out, it is time to go to the drive-through. No, don’t do it. You can have a  low carb onion rings option that is not going to take you off your diet but will, in fact, allow you to stay on track and experience the joy of delicious onion rings – yum!

All you need is a whole onion, coconut flour, whipping cream, eggs, pork rinds and parmesan cheese. You don’t deep fry your keto dish, but instead, you bake it. If ketchup is calling your name, try the tomato paste instead. Mayo-based dip will help you keep the carbs low if you can do without the ketchup.

  1. Peanut Butter

Before you grab a big spoon of peanut butter and start going to town, you can’t grab just any type of peanut butter when you’re on a ketogenic diet. You have to stay away from those nasty added sugars (aka evil carbs). Look instead for healthier options like the natural version. Read the labeling and find the nut butter that is going to give you the best results. If you can go with almond butter instead of peanut butter you are doing even better.

Having peanut butter (or almond butter) on celery or another keto okayed dipping piece is also a nice treat. While you can have a log, you won’t be putting any ants on this one.

  1. Fudge

What? Fudge!? Yes. You can even have fun with fudge when you are all about that keto life. This low-carb, grain-free, dairy-free, vegan and refined sugar-free keto fudge recipe is sure to get your taste buds excited.

You need almond butter, coconut oil, unsweetened cocoa powder, coconut flour, powdered stevia and pink Himalayan salt for this for the love of keto recipe.

Conclusion

No need to worry about breaking down at snack time and having nowhere to turn. With the above recipes, you are well on your way to building your arsenal of yum to on the success track with your ketogenic lifestyle. Once you get the swing of things, you will be a keto snack making machine and have no more worries of picking up a sugar snack at your local coffee shop.
