Your mental health has a more significant impact on your entire health than you would imagine. For example, your body suffers when you’re anxious, angry, or depressed, whether it’s in the form of stomach problems, migraines, back pain, or any number of other physical symptoms. One you are able to boost your mental health, these ailments frequently can subside.
The majority of the patients I see in my practice want to enhance their health and happiness, but they often feel helpless to do so. It’s easy to fall into the trap of believing that our troubles are wholly beyond our control or that they are the fault of others.
However, many problems may begin to change just by changing our own actions and forming new habits. For example, your body feels better when you’re happy and at peace, and you can respond to challenging situations more effectively.
