- 6-8 raw blanched almonds
- 3-4 tbsp. raw sunflower seeds or flax seeds
- 1-2 cup filtered water
- 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp. nutmeg
- 1-2 square inches fresh coconut
- 1/2 tsp. vanilla
- 3-5 pitted dates or 1/2 banana
Add the first 3 ingredients to a blender and mix. Then add the additional items and blend until a puree. It usually takes even a strong blender a while for the coconut so be advised.
Additional flavors can be added to enhance the taste such as carob powder, fresh pineapple, mint, cardamom, maple syrup, honey, etc.
Try a little experimentation and make adjustments to modify the taste to suit your taste buds, as well as provide variety.
