In recent years CBD has become all the rage for getting the health benefits Cannabis without getting high. We previously wrote about the benefits of CBD oil for your health and will continue to report tips and facts about hemp and CBD as the popularity of these products continues to grow. You can get CBD oil in a wide variety of stores these days, from natural foods stores, retail outlets, and that small holistic store downtown, so it’s better to be safe than sorry.

Cannabidiol or CBD oil derived from hemp is now legal, thanks to the amendment in the 2018 Farm Bill. However, you should purchase the product only from a hemp farm that is recognized by the United States Food and Drugs Administration (FDA) to guarantee safety when using the product.

However, some manufacturers are illegally marketing their products as FDA certified. Even the FDA issued a warning about these unfair practices that serve to cheat the public. In contrast, the manufacturing of all products from Ananda Hemp CBD takes place in its own 500-acre Kentucky farm registered with the FDA. As part of the accreditation process, the company needed to show that it is employing current good manufacturing practices for maximum efficiency and safety.

Before the FDA gives the stamp of approval, it needs to conduct a thorough inspection of the farm first. The review will include the active ingredient, the cultivation, and the manufacturing process, as well as packing, storage, and shipment.

Each process undergoes a series of vetting to make sure that it complies with the standards set by the FDA. The company cannot take a shortcut if it has to ensure the highest quality of products.

Good Farming Practices

Among the restrictions that companies must abide by, one is to adopt practices that are consistent with the provisions of the Farm Bill. They must also secure a license with the state, which has its rules and regulations when it comes to hemp production.

According to FDA warning, some companies are violating the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act (FD&C Act) in marketing their products. For instance, the company cannot make any therapeutic claim of the CBD oil without prior approval from regulators. Also, the growers must have licenses. The implication is that they have undergone safety training and are updated on the regulations of the state.

Further, Ananda Hemp CBD products are limited to sourcing their raw materials from their FDA-certified farm in Kentucky. The process from seed to bottle can be traced, so there are no contaminants that may endanger the consumer. The organization knows that producing hemp, whether for personal or commercial use, from any other farm, would be illegal.

Meanwhile, the company sends all the products to ISO-certified laboratories for third-party testing. These ensure that they are safe for consumption and worthy of the Ananda brand.

Never Compromise Your Safety

Safety is the reason why you should not take FDA registration lightly. With the CBD industry projected to be worth 1.8 billion USD by 2022, you can bet that some will take advantage of it to make money. However, if you purchase CBD oils from FDA-accredited hemp farms, you will not compromise on your health and safety.

What most people probably do not know is that hemp belongs to a species of plants that are characterized by their phytoremediation ability. The other plants include willow, Indian grass, and sunflower. They can suck the contaminants, heavy metals, and other pollutants, thereby cleaning the soil.

However, if the manufacturer skips some processes, these pollutants will end up in the CBD oil. Having the FDA seal will ensure that the cannabinoid that you buy does not contain toxic chemicals that may be absorbed by your body.
