Vaping is the same as smoking

Vaping is a gateway to smoking

That same five year period is when vaping was really taking off, so you may say that the two are connected to each other. What did the study find out? That smoking rate with teenagers was reduced from 16% to 8% in five years. So, how much of a coincidence is this, really?

Vaping isn’t FDA regulated
This has all changed since May 8, 2015. On that day, the FDA finalized the regulations that take care of vaping. Officially, they classify vapes as tobacco products. However, they are much more harshly regulated, so yes, vaping is actually regulated by the Food and Drug Administration. Furthermore, products such as a THC vape pen are also restricted by state laws regarding the sale and usage of cannabis.
E-cigarettes’ vapor has formaldehyde
This is a misconception as much as it is a rumor that was based on a clever, yet disconcerting memory that many people will remember from their high school biology lessons. Remember that smell of formaldehyde when your teacher asked you to dissect a frog? Things started out as a report, one that ended up angering a lot of folks in the scientific community. As a result, many researchers demanded that the document is retracted. There were many independent studies that prove the report is nothing more than fiction.
E-cigarettes contain antifreeze
When it comes to the war on vaping, plenty of people use arguments that are straight-up made up. The thing is, these things can be checked pretty easily. One of those arguments is that e-cigarettes have antifreeze. However, when you’re discussing conventional e-cigarettes, they only have four ingredients. You have propylene glycol, vegetable glycerin, flavorings (artificial and natural), and nicotine.
Where does the misconception come from? Well, both anti-freeze and vape juice have one ingredient in common – propylene glycol. However, this is something that is generally considered safe to use in foods, direct additives, and cosmetics.
