I loved it as a kid, growing up. Being from Texas, it had been always the Cowboys. Back then, the heroes were Roger Staubach and Tom Landry. Afterwards, after going to California, I found myself now and again rooting for John Brodie of the 49ers, but it surely was always Cowboys once the two came head-to-head. At this time, I'm retired. The demands of due dates, personal campaigns and endless errands have diminished. And I wax nostalgically for the gridiron plus the excitement of the tournament.
