No, because they've reached their fat limit. Now, they just have to get fed real food, but we've probably forgotten what that is. We first have to go totally Organic in our food consumption and all the toxins will leave their God created bodies.

The question is: Why is type2 Diabetis in young school age children still on the upswing. A slight conflict, or is medical diagnostic proceedures changing to suit?

Great post.
It would be cool if the incidence of childhood obesity stopped rising.
In 1982 only 4% of children in America were overweight.
By 2001 more than 30% of children were overweight. This is a huge increase in such a short period of time.

New studies that came out in 2007 said that the rate of obesity climbed in most states with no reduction in any states.
This finding was for both children and adults.
Some states have more than 30% of their population obese.

People are becoming aware of this "huge" problem, which is awesome.
It would be wonderful if we could reverse these numbers and become a fitter America.
I think we can do it.

It's all about education, inspiration, and motivation. :)
Peace.

Grrr. Good to see the "lay off the refined carbs" message, but why still dwell on reducing dietary fat? There is no credible evidence (i.e., evidence that doesn't support other hypotheses equally well, that isn't biased by excluding contradictory data, etc.) that dietary fat/cholesterol intake is bad for you. Eat the burger, skip the bun and fries.

A Victory?!? We're at the point where it's harder to get any fatter. That's not victorious. No, not at all. Exercise People! Exercise! Let your children get out, destroy things, and climb stuff. Donate your tv to the homeless. Call your kid fat, and reward the healthier child with toys. Once you go fat, you can't go all the way back. Do something before it's too late!
