Bodytype, age, weight, height, experience, lifestyle, and so much more could be used to get maintenance calories. There is a huge equation with 20 or so variables in a spreadsheet that I have used on occasion to figure diet, maintenance, and weight gain calorie recommendations. Obviously the closer I work with the individual, the more accurate my suggestions will be.</description>
